An hour with a dedicated instructor to familiarise yourself with the vehicles and learn about the transport industry before you commit to anything else!
We offer two levels of Taster Session:
Please check these options thoroughly BEFORE selecting your experience. The driving licence entitlements you have can affect which options are available to you.
On-road experience
Take the wheel and drive an HGV or PCV on the public roads with one of our instructors!
This option requires your licence has the provisional entitlements for the vehicle you wish to drive.
If you do not already have the correct provisional entitlements on your driving licence, we will arrange a medical assessment for you and help you upgrade your licence prior to your Taster Session.
In-yard experience
Climb into a real cab unit and learn the ropes of the transport industry.
This experience does not require a provisional entitlement on your licence, and does not include a medical.
This experience does not include any driving on the public highway except where the instructor is in control of the vehicle. At locations with sufficient yard space, you may be able to drive the vehicle in a private, enclosed setting.
