We are a family-owned group of transport training schools helping people gain the skills, confidence and qualifications needed to build successful careers. Our instructors bring decades of industry experience, and combine expert knowledge with a calm, supportive approach ensuring our students are in the best place to start their training journey.
Whether a student is a first time HGV driver or someone looking to upskill for better job opportunities we make sure everyone is on the correct pathway for them to achieve their goals.

Lifft was built on the belief that professional driver training should be supportive, accessible, and focused on real career outcomes. At a time when training often felt confusing or impersonal, Lifft set out to create a better experience.
Starting as a small operation, the business grew quickly through word of mouth as learners gained confidence, passed their tests, and opened doors to new opportunities. From career changers to first-time drivers, Lifft became a place where people felt genuinely supported.
Today, Lifft operates nationwide, helping thousands of drivers qualify each year and proudly supporting life-changing journeys from first taster session to full licence success.
Lifft was set up to make transport training accessible - from initial enquiries to pass day - we wanted to make the journey as simple and easy to understand as possible.
What started as established local training schools has grown into a network of transport training centres across the UK, unified under the Lifft brand, with a consistent experience across all our sites - local knowledge, highly-qualified instructors and a modern fleet of training vehicles.
Over the years, we’ve continued investing in our people and our training experience. Students train in modern, high-spec DAF trucks equipped with advanced safety features to help build confidence behind the wheel. Despite our growth as a business, we have remained true to our roots.

Our highly experienced, NVDIR-qualified instructors/instructors help build confidence, develop safe driving habits and prepare our students for life on the road. Many have spent years driving professionally before moving into training, with experience in bus, military, tanker driving and everything in between.
They know that every learner is different, and utilise their decades of experience in the transport industry to create a supportive coaching environment tailored to each individual.
