Cookie Policy
What we collect, how we collect it, and what it is used for
Please read this cookie policy carefully before using The Lifft Group website ("website", "service") operated by The Lifft Group Limited ("us", "we", "our").
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves to your browser when you visit. Cookies allow websites to recognise your browser, remember your preferences, and help us understand how our site is being used.
We use a consent panel to give you control over which cookies are active. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the privacy icon at the bottom corner of the screen. Declining certain cookies may affect the quality of your experience.
How we obtain your consent
When you first visit our website, a consent panel will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can use this panel to accept all cookies, decline all optional cookies, or open the settings to choose which categories you are comfortable with.
Until you make a selection, you will not be able to scroll the page. This is to ensure you have the opportunity to make an informed choice before using the site. Once you have made your selection, the page will unlock immediately.
When you make a choice on the consent panel, we record — anonymously and in aggregate — whether cookies were accepted, declined, or partly accepted. This tells us what proportion of visitors accept or decline, so we can keep the panel clear and fair. It contains no information that identifies you and is never used for advertising.
You can review or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the privacy icon at the bottom corner of the screen.
We use the following types of cookies across our website and checkout:
Essential cookies — always active
Essential cookies are necessary for the website to work. They cannot be switched off. They do not store any information that identifies you personally, and they are never used for advertising.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
klaro |
Lifft Group website | Stores your cookie consent choices so we do not ask you again on every visit | 1 year |
__kla_off |
Lifft Group website | Records that you have not consented to Klaviyo marketing tracking, so we keep it switched off while still letting our sign-up and callback forms work | 1 year |
CraftSessionId |
Lifft Group website | Keeps you logged in during your visit | End of session |
__cf_bm |
Cloudflare | Protects the website from automated bot traffic | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance |
Cloudflare | Records that your browser passed a Cloudflare security check | 1 day |
Security — reCAPTCHA (registration forms only)
On our event registration and callback forms we use Google reCAPTCHA to tell genuine visitors apart from automated spam. It loads only on those pages. Declining it does not stop you registering — your submission is simply not spam-scored.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_GRECAPTCHA |
Google reCAPTCHA | Helps distinguish humans from automated bots when you submit a registration or callback form | 6 months |
Analytics cookies — optional
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website — which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and how they navigate. This information is used to improve the design and performance of our website. It does not identify you personally.
Even if you decline analytics cookies, we may still record basic anonymous data about page visits — for example, which pages were viewed — with no way to identify who viewed them. This is used solely to keep our website running well.
Analytics cookies are provided by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

Microsoft Clarity | Assigns a unique identifier to your browser for use across Clarity sessions | 1 year |
Marketing cookies — optional
Marketing cookies are used by advertising platforms to measure whether our advertising campaigns are effective and, where possible, to show you adverts that are relevant to your interests. If you arrived on our website after clicking one of our adverts, these cookies help us confirm that the click led to a booking, so we can improve our campaigns.
If you decline marketing cookies you may still see our adverts on other websites, but they will be less tailored to you. We will also be unable to tell our advertising partners when a booking has been completed, which may affect the relevance of adverts you see from us in future.
Marketing cookies are provided by Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft Advertising, and Klaviyo.
A few of these use similar technologies rather than cookies — such as your browser's local storage — but serve the same purpose and are listed in the table below.

A note on Klaviyo. Klaviyo powers our sign-up and "Request a callback" forms as well as our email marketing. Beyond the __kla_id cookie listed above, Klaviyo's on-site script may set additional third-party cookies of its own for analytics and advertising purposes. These load only if you accept marketing cookies, and are governed by Klaviyo's Privacy Policy.
Cookies set on our checkout (checkout.lifftgroup.co.uk)
When you click through to purchase a course or training package, you are transferred to a secure checkout at checkout.lifftgroup.co.uk, which is powered by Shopify. This is a separate domain from our main website, and Shopify sets its own cookies there independently of the choices you make above.
Any advertising click references stored during your visit to our main website (such as a Google Ads or Facebook click) are carried through to the checkout URL so that your booking can be attributed correctly, consistent with the consent choices you made on our website.
Shopify's checkout cookies are governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.

What each level of consent means
If you accept all cookies
We can measure how our website is used and understand whether our advertising campaigns are leading to bookings. This helps us improve the website and run more relevant adverts. No information about you is sold to third parties.
If you accept analytics only
We can see how our website is used in aggregate but cannot measure whether our adverts are working. Your visit will not be linked to any advertising platform.
If you decline all optional cookies
We will not use analytics or advertising cookies. We may still record a basic count of anonymous page visits — with no way to identify you — to keep our website running well. No personal data is collected and nothing is shared with advertising platforms.
Changing your preferences
You can update your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the privacy icon at the bottom corner of the screen. Changes take effect immediately. You can also disable cookies entirely in your browser settings, though this may prevent some parts of the website from working correctly.
